Connecting Eaters to matters of food, farming, health, and ecology on and off the plate.

Where can I take my school group apple picking?

I want to visit a dairy farm and see how cows are milked. Is that possible?

What exactly does a local food system look like?

Who are the farmers and workers that link the food supply chain?

What do chicken, cows, and pigs eat year-round?

Just how do they make those big round blocks of cheese?

Why do farmers let animals poop in the vegetable fields?

Get all of these questions answered and more when you book a tour to visit NYC’s regional food and farm industry.

From April through November, you can experience (when in season):

  • Farm tours – visit a working farm and discover the origins of what you eat, from farm to plate
  • Pick-Your-Own – berries, flowers, apples, pumpkins
  • Daytrip to the countryside – grab lunch at a farmstand or Main Street mom-n-pop and head to the field, park, or beach for a leisurely day
  • Festivals – Apples, blueberries, corn, garlic, pumpkin, and wine, New York’s got ‘em all!
  • Relax and Reconnect – couples, sororities, alumni associations, plan your next retreat at one of Upstate NY’s premier retreat centers

I work primarily with adult groups, offering guided and self-guided group tours of up to 50 people (some venues may limit the total size of groups).

Tours can be anything from a half-day within NYC, a full day, or a weekend in Long Island, Upstate NY, or New Jersey.

Tours start at $25 per person, depending on the itinerary.
